Our program is founded on curricula that provide breadth and depth in the fundamental subject areas: mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. These comprise the basic skills and knowledge that will sustain our youngsters as lifelong learners. The school day provides ample blocks of time for these core areas of study. Our students learn through exploration and discovery. In addition to core studies, we provide enrichment classes in art, music, foreign languages, physical education, and computer and technology. Other enrichment opportunities include drama, declamation, arts and crafts, photography, chorus, literary magazine, chess, sports, hiking, survival skills, and robotics, all augmented by assemblies and seminars built around special topics.

Our graduates will be scholars of and contributors to a sustainable world. SNC combines the liberal arts and professional preparedness through an interdisciplinary curriculum which emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking and environmental, social, economic, and educational sustainability.
The goal of a great liberal arts college is to craft a curriculum that ensures students are exposed to the best of human thought and ideals.
Studying the great thoughts, movements, and ideas throughout history develops students' abilities to understand the world around them and themselves. General education including the humanities, arts, sciences, and social sciences allows for a more inclusive education and gives our students' historical and social perspectives on our society's contemporary issues.
